The sodium salt of coconut oil. Soap is made by mixing oils and fats (in this case, coconut oil), with sodium hydroxide. There is no sodium hydroxide left in the salt, just a great cleansing, non-drying soap. We use olive and coconut oils in our soap base instead of palm (which is unsustainably produced).
