Sodium stearate

Sodium stearate

If you are reading this and are outraged that we use palm oil, fret not, our sodium stearate is 100% palm free. Sourced from either coconut, rice bran or most commonly, olive oil (depending on the season and the crop), sodium stearate is the sodium salt of stearic acid. Soap is made by mixing oils and fats with sodium hydroxide. There is no sodium hydroxide left in the salt, just a great cleansing, non-drying soap. We use olive and coconut oils in our soap base instead of palm (which is unsustainably produced.)
