SCALP HEALTH Shampoo Bar

I'm sorry to hear this product hasn't worked well for you. We have lime essential oil in the shampoo which gives a bright citrus scent but also helps to naturally balance, refresh, and lightly condition. Neem oil is also what gives the shampoo a distinct smell. It's quite earthy but does serve a really important function to keep the scalp in balance and help flakes/itchiness. Do you have any known essential oil irritations? The other reason could be that you may be using too much product.
Our bars are very concentrated and only a small amount of product is needed. We recommend thoroughly wetting your hair (and wetting the bar too), gently swiping it just a few times from root to tip (4-5 times), then placing the bar down and building up a lather with your fingers. As tempting as it is, there's no need to keep swiping the bar to hair until a lather begins to build; by this stage, it's likely that too much product has already been deposited to strands. If you end up using too much product you can counteract the cleaning and overclean the scalp which ideally you need to balance the scalp. Hi Laurel, Thanks for the feedback on the shape. We've chosen to change the shapes of our bars with both ergonomics and aesthetics in mind. We trialled all the new shapes with people that had specific health conditions that can affect hand functionality, such as Arthritis, Peripheral Neuropathy in the hands, and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This helped us better understand the usability challenges faced by individuals with varying dexterity. Additionally, we included top purchasers of our shampoo and conditioner bars. These participants are some of our most loyal customers, and their feedback provided valuable insights into the practical usability and preferences of the shapes. The results of this testing helped guide the design changes, ensuring the new shapes are more user-friendly for everyone, including those with specific physical challenges. At this point we will keep the new shape as it was preferred and considered easier to use. I hope this explains the changes!
