So Cocoa™ Nourishing Lip Balm

I got this as a free gift with my last order and I'm so glad I chose it. It goes on smoothly and my lips so far have stayed moisturized for a good while after applying. The chocolate is really mild and nice. I do wonder if Ethique would ever consider doing a choco-mint, even as a limited run for the holidays?

This is also the first time I've used any lip product in a cardboard tube and it just feels really good to not be creating trash with yet another plastic tube- I'm officially a convert!

This is my go-to lip balm - it smells good and makes my lips oh-so-soft! Perfect for the upcoming dry winter months.

Great lip balm! It is a nice moisturizing balm that creates a emollient layer to keep the lips from drying out. It doesn't make the lips super shiny either, so if you prefer and low-shine lip balm, this one fits the bill. I love that it comes in a study cardboard tube. You can keep this in your pocket and it won't melt everywhere (at least I know for sure during the cooler months that it's pocket safe. I don't know exactly how it will fair in the hotter weather. We will have to wait and see. However, I predict it will hold up just fine). The description of the lip balm makes is sound like this will smell HEAVILY of chocolate, but it doesn't really. I was nervous that it would be an overwhelming chocolate smell. However, it smells like a lot cocoa butter! It also smells a bit like the other waxes and oils used to make the balm, which was expected (the candelilla wax scent is definitely present under the cocoa butter). Overall, I love this lip balm.

I really like the formula. It feels light but moisturizing and doesn't seem to leave my lips dry like some balms do. I'm not quite sure I like the chocolate scent that much, it reminds me of a Tootsie Roll. I think next time I'd opt for the fruity scented balm.

I like this lip balm. It helps keep my lips soft, even in cold, dry weather. My only complaint is that the lid slips off the tube easily, but I keep it in a special compartment to minimize that problem. I recommend it.
